The Bürgergarten Helle Oase is a community garden in the heart of Hellersdorf that aims to appeal not only to gardeners and nature lovers, but also to sports enthusiasts of all ages. We have a varied and in large parts freely accessible area with various possibilities for exercise, a children’s playground and of course the vegetable garden. Parents and grandparents can garden with us, while the children let off steam on the football pitch or swing, and those who prefer a quiet ball are in the right place on our boules court.
The site is under the sponsorship of the KIDS & CO association and is financed by subsidies and donations. Offers are largely free of charge. We have one water and one electricity connection, several barbecue and cooking facilities and a compost toilet. During our opening hours on Tuesdays and Thursday afternoons, there is at least one contact person available who can also lend out equipment for the individual sports. This is free of charge, but a deposit is required.
We ask all users of our facilities to treat them with care and to leave them as clean as they were found. The whole area is kept clean and in good condition by volunteers. If there are any problems here and there, please let us know so that we can improve the situation.
